Senseless violence touches the Nerdy Household

A local student was found murdered last weekend, and it turned out she had been one of Nerdy Hubby's students two years ago. Our sympathies go out to her family and friends.

Hello Judy -

You know my computer is old and my access is bad when it's quicker to load a comment page on a blog than it is to open up my hotmail account. Sheesh!

And would you believe it? I am skipping VLA this year! first time in ages. But what is also happening that weekend?

Knitters Review Retreat in NY.

uh huh

It may be the last retreat I can get to in a long time and I just saw a bunch of librarians in Richmond last weekend and .... well. I'm just going to play hooky.

It looks like it will have to be a Friday in Richmond sometime ....I can't believe it's so hard to get away when I seem to be away so much.

But richmond is fun and it has 5 yarn shops. We could do a yarn shop crawl.

Now while you're in W'lmsbrg. Be sure to visit the Knitting Sisters. They are at Kings Mill Shopping Center which is just across the big highway from the neighborhood where the convention center is. Ask at the hotel desk - or track down Jane McQuaid director of Northumberland PL or Fran Freimark - Pamunkey Regional. It's a simply lovely shop.

And have fun!

Oh Judy. I am so sorry. About the lost student and for not answering you sooner. I can't find your email addy!!!!

Alas. I shan't be coming to VLA because that's Knitters Review Retreat week.

This definitely means a yarn shop crawl through Richmond, right? Or just a day someplace nice where we can knit and talk and giggle.

Please email me so I can put you in the contacts again. besshaile (at) hotmail (dot) com
